So my hubby and I decided to hit up Books-A-Million (BAM) this past week with our son Aaden whom is 11months. Aaden has this little talking plush Monkey from Old Navy that he takes with him EVERYWHERE and this short outing was no different so of course he tolled along his furry buddy with us. This little Monkey (that looks like he has been through a few battles) means a lot to Aaden, it soothes him to sleep and calms his hurting gums that are sprouting out teeth everywhere.  Well, needless to say we some how lost his dear MonkMonk friend in the store but we really didn’t notice it until we made it home which is like 30minutes away from BAM. I called the store and it was not returned or in the Lost & Found there.  So I figures hey I bet they have them on Ebay, everything is on Ebay right. Oh Boy was I wrong, they have everything but that monkey. I searched the internet for awhile and couldn’t find it anywhere. My last hope had dwindled down to the oh so famous Craigslist. I went ahead and put up a ISO ad and posted just one of the many pictures we had of Aaden and his monkey on CL hoping someone might have one laying around that wasn’t getting any Love. About Five days later I get a response from a sweet lady telling me she has one that her daughter does not play with and that it was brand new with tags and that she would love to give it to my son for free!
We picked it up the next say which is today and it was the exact little monkey that Aaden use to have except this one was new and actually looked like a monkey. As soon as the sweet lady showed it to Aaden he quickly snatched it from the her which, oh my, was a tad embarrassing but that cute monkey’s leg went straight into Aadens mouth to help sooth his little self.   I now have a happy happy baby reunited with his MonkMonk (well a twin of the one we had) and a funny little story to tell him when he is older.
